The Peasant Dress
This is basically a farewell to Summer 16′–so long to those sweet, delightfully and sometimes oppressively humid days. The perfect, sun drenched backdrop for us to sport our sundresses, rompers, crop top sets and short, shorts with flip flops. Summer is alway a love/hate season for me though, because of my breast friends.
On trend spaghetti strap, BACKLESS styles and thin, silk tops and dresses can all go to the LEFT (or South) real quick without thorough planning and a strategy for keeping things in place. That’s why I can appreciate a good peasant dress–it’s a style that doesn’t really need as much planning, especially if you can add a belt or find a way to break up the billowiness that can occur if you’re top heavy (this is key). I’ve worn this New York & Company a number of ways this season and will even use it as a transitional piece with a long cardigan for Fall. Oh, and this dress has POCKETS!!! (no big deal). These brown sandals are from DSW, and the earrings are from Call it Spring. I hope you all enjoy! Let me know what you think.
